About

I love to travel the world, see wildlife and take photos. Most of the photos on this site are mine. So this blog shows you the world as I see it. I have traveled to all 7 continents, over 60 countries and 44 U.S. states. In recent years, I have mostly visited the developing world. I love adventure travel and have been to Africa four times for safaris.  I love photographing animals in the wild

I enjoying playing, so never miss an opportunity to take a hot air balloon ride, ride on a zip line, and to snorkel. I swam with the pink dolphins in the Amazon River, and hiked on Komodo Island to see the Komodo Dragons. I have planted mangrove trees to help protect coast in Thailand from being eroded by rising sea levels.

I love to do touristy things like ride camels, elephants, yaks, and ride in carts pulled by oxen or horses, and ride in cyclo-rickshaws.

I love to go on small boats on rivers and through the small byways to see the countryside. I also love white water rafting and other adventurous things.

At home, I love to hike and water ski. I have a husband who usually prefers to stay home to play golf and bridge while I travel. We have three children and nine grandchildren.
